It has been Oakleaf's policy over it's 20-year history to offer a relaxed design service backed up with a quality hand-built product.

From your initial enquiry we can either visit your home or you can supply us with room dimensions or your own design. After discussions we will settle on a layout against which we can put a price. From this point we will meet again to make any changes you require, all of which is free of charge.

Our aim is threefold, to provide furniture that is practical, pleasing to the eye and affordable despite it's individuality.

We do of course offer a full installation service including any electrical and plumbing work together with fitting appliances, sink etc. supplied by us or yourselves, but are happy to work on a supply only basis.

Where payment is concerned our practice is to ask for a small deposit at time of order and depending on the size of the project we ask that the balance be paid when the work is complete to your satisfaction.

Custom Built Furniture For All Your Requirements

Oakleaf Interiors of Keynsham was founded in 1983 by Dave Cleverly as a self-employed one man business doing interior home improvements. Mr Cleverly recognised the advantages of custom-built furniture over off-the-shelf products and began manufacturing to customer's specific requirements.

By the late 80's the company had progressed to 14 employees. Oakleaf survived the subsequent recession with a reduced workforce, and has maintained a small workforce of full-time cabinet makers, all of whom are fully trained in various aspects of fitted furniture manufacture. In 1994 Mr Andy Pestell became joint managing director with Mr Cleverly. Both directors are hands-on on the shop floor, making sure each worker is responsible for the quality of his own work.

Oakleaf Interiors manufactures fitted furniture to the customers specification for kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, offices, shops etc. The company has a 5600 sq. ft. factory showroom at Burnett Business Park. The business mainly supplies to the general public, focusing on the middle to up-market sectors. Every piece of furniture is designed to client specification, so the company is truly bespoke. Each cabinet maker prepares his own materials and makes each unit to completion, so they have the job satisfaction of seeing each piece of work through from start to finish.

The company offers the benefit of each directors individual skills and previous experiences jointly supporting the company's 20-year history. The directors have an informal approach with customers, both have a practical background so kitchen designing is born out of hands-on experience and you won't find pressure being brought to bear to make a hasty decision.

Oakleaf is the embodiment of the individual manufacturer against mass production, in that the company affords the customer greater versatility with freedom of choice, unlike most. Oakleaf does not have any set ranges; the customer literally has the chance to choose any shape, size, colour or material. It is rarely possible to find exactly what you want in a shop full of mass produced furniture! The knowledge that all that hard work has been done for you is most gratifying.
